Keeping your cleaning supplies organized plays a huge role in maintaining a clean and tidy home. Here are some tips to help you organize your cleaning supplies.

Declutter your cleaning supplies

Before organizing your cleaning supplies, it's essential to declutter them first. Get rid of the cleaning products you no longer use or expired.

Categorize Your Cleaning Supplies

Categorize your cleaning supplies based on their purpose. For instance, you can group all-purpose, glass, and disinfectants in one category.

Find a Storage Solution

Once you've categorized your cleaning supplies, find a suitable storage solution. You can use a cleaning caddy, plastic bins, or a cabinet to store your cleaning supplies.

Label your cleaning supplies

Labeling your cleaning supplies can help you identify them quickly. You can use a label maker or a marker to label each cleaning product with its name and purpose.

Create a cleaning schedule

Creating a cleaning schedule can help you stay on top of your cleaning tasks. You can assign specific days of the week for cleaning different areas of your home and make a list of the cleaning supplies you need for each task.

Following these tips, you can organize your cleaning supplies and make your cleaning routine more efficient.

5 Things to Start Doing for A Clutter Free Home

When you walk into your bedroom how do you feel? Do you feel overwhelmed and exhausted? Or do you feel relaxed and at peace? Your bedroom should be your sanctuary. It is a place where your rest and your relationship are of utmost importance. So, how do you keep your bedroom organized?

Your home should be a place you love; somewhere to relax and unwind after a long day at the office. Choosing to bring order into an otherwise chaotic space can completely transform your living space, not just by hiding the mess but by creating an environment that is conducive to you and your lifestyle.

Here are 5 things to start doing for a clutter free home today

Find a place in your home for your purse

Find a place for your purse, keys, glasses, anything that you need to walk out the door. These items need to have the same home every single day. Maybe it's a hook for your keys and purse by the door, maybe it's a table as you walk in, whatever it is make sure it works for you and your space.

Reset your house at the end of every day.

That means throw pillows get straightened, throw blankets go in the basket, dishes get done, make your house look like nobody lives in it. Remember to clear off your counters and tables so they are ready for tomorrow’s use. Take out the trash as soon as it gets full--it will make it easier to keep your home clean if there aren't piles of garbage sitting around! And if there’s any kid messes, have them help you reset their spaces too!

Toss your Junk Mail

Junk mail. Toss it before you ever even walk into your house. Go straight to your garbage can right now.

Everyone gets a Laundry Day

We all have laundry. Nobody wants to do it. Pick a day. That's the day you do laundry. If you have a lot of kids, it might be one day for each kid, but do your laundry.

Pick a Day to do errands

Are you doing errands every single day? Well, just stop, because that's just silly. Pick one day. Do them all. One errand day, And that's it that’s all you got.

Do those five things and you're going to stay organized better than you ever have. I promise. Do it today!

Makeup and Mardi Gras have a lot to do with organization! Keeping a well-organized makeup drawer can save you time and money when getting ready for a night out. When it comes to Mardi Gras, organization is essential for making sure the celebration runs smoothly.

Use the C.H.A.O.S Method to get your makeup organized

C- Categorize

Take everything out of your drawer and put like items with like items. That means mascara with mascara, lipsticks with lipsticks, etc.

H- Hurtful or Helpful

What emotion does your makeup elicit? Do you like wearing it; does it make you feel good?

A- Action

Take action once you’ve decided how you feel about each item. Keep the Make-up you love and Discard expired make-up (so you don’t get a nasty rash on your face) and what you don’t like.

Here are some common make-up expiration dates

O- Organize

We like trays like these to help keep our makeup organized. They come in various sizes, so be sure to measure the space before ordering.

S- Simplify

Label each tray to set yourself up for success in the mornings and for ease of retrieval.

After the parades, costumes, and other festivities, ensure your mardi gras decorations are organized.

Three tips to keep it organized:

  1. Use a Storage bin with dividers – this will make it easy to separate different colors and types of beads. Keep your costumes in good condition for next year by wrapping in plastic for next year.

  2. Go Vertical – Use a pegboard so you can hang your mardi gras jewelry and beads on the wall free of tangles

  3. Use Space bags – to keep your costumes in good condition for next year and free from dirt and debris.

Above all else, make sure you use a purple bin!

Have extra mardi gras beads? Donate them here.

Why is Having a Decluttered Bedroom Important?

When you walk into your bedroom how do you feel? Do you feel overwhelmed and exhausted? Or do you feel relaxed and at peace? Your bedroom should be your sanctuary. It is a place where your rest and your relationship are of utmost importance. So, how do you keep your bedroom organized?

When you walk into your bedroom how do you feel? Do you feel overwhelmed and exhausted? Or do you feel relaxed and at peace?

Your bedroom should be your sanctuary. It is a place where your rest and your relationship are of utmost importance.

It should NOT be a dumping ground for all the things in your home that have no where to go, and it should not be a place where you hide all your clutter and mess from guests.

So, how do you keep your bedroom organized?

  1. Clear off your dresser.

The bedroom is a place where flat surfaces tend to get cluttered with items that we don’t know what to do with and want hidden from guests. Clear off your dresser and find a place for all the items that need to be kept and get rid of items that you no longer use or need.

  2. Clean your nightstand.

Your nightstand should not be an extension of your junk drawer. Just as with the dresser, find a home for these items or they need to go.

  3. Deal with the clothes chair.

We all have some version of “the chair” with our clothes piled high on some piece of neglected furniture. Put these clothes away! If they are clothes that you’ve worn and plan to rewear, put them away. If they are clean enough to wear again, they are clean enough to go back in your dresser or closet.

Now go enjoy your relaxing bedroom!

Getting Your Attic Organized

With the warmer weather coming soon, it’s time to get in your attic and get everything organized while it’s not too cold or too hot. Here’s a few tips to get you started.

With the warmer weather coming soon, it’s time to get in your attic and get everything organized while it’s not too cold or too hot.

Here’s a few tips to get you started:

Categorize

As we always do with the C.H.A.O.S. Method, categorize all of your items first. Group all of your decor together according to which holiday they are for. Whichever category has the most items get the space closest to the attic door while the category with the smallest number of items goes furthest from the attic door.

Take Action

While you are categorizing, set aside any items that you are not using. Those items take up valuable space and should either be thrown away or donated depending on the item and its condition.

Bins

Now that everything is categorized and you’ve purged any items that you don’t use, it’s time to put all of your items into storage bins. You will want your bins to be plastic and not cardboard (cardboard attracts roaches, yuck!). The bins should also be ones that are easy for you to get in and out of the attic.

Label

Now that it’s all in bins, label everything! Each bin should be labeled with EVERY item that is inside the bin so there is no guessing when you’re trying to find something. For holiday decor, you can also label the bin with where those decorations will go in the house (i.e. mantle, front door, etc.).
